Super TransGalactian Hyper-Billiards 2014 by ElectricSeagull

Welcome to Super TransGalactian Hyper-Billiards 2014.
Navigate around the screen with the arrow keys.
Press Space to pause.

Choose your colour and shape before you start a level.
Red beats yellow, beats blue, beats red.
When two pieces collide, the winning colour performs its action:
Circles take the other piece's colour, Squares explode the other piece and Triangles make the other piece disappear.

The aim is for your colour to gain the majority of pieces on the screen (if you're a circle, you change teams when you change colour).

EDIT (12/12/14): I've fixed the page scrolling bug on the web game in Chrome and IE (it was already fine in Firefox).

Tools: Java, libGDX, Eclipse, GIMP, Zynewave Podium, Audacity.

Great concept, but it moves a bit too slow for my liking.
If this was a bit more fast paced i would play the crap out of this.

This game reminds me Osmos a lot. Fun to play.

Nice and simply gameplay. Sometimes I don´t know, when I will win, but it is triffle. Fantastic work!

Love the music ! Especially when you reach a new level.
Nice graphics ! But a little slow on web.

Very interesting game. Good job.
But I don't like the concept of moving a character to interact with something that resembles a puzzle. Would perhaps liked it more if movement was faster, more direct.

Neat game, however my experience was hindered by the web page moving when I pressed the arrow keys or space. The easiest, most painless solution that I can suggest (however by far not the best solution) is that you set the style of the html or body tag to use overflow:hidden. This disables scrollbars. You need to ensure your page is understandable without scrollbars tho.

Should use preventDefault() on the up/down keydown events to keep the page from scrolling during play on the web version. Downloaded the jar instead.

Interesting concept, gets pretty chaotic but it's a pretty colors kind of chaotic so I can dig it.

Cool soundtrack too. :)

Other than your iframe being a bit too small (the arrow keys nudged the window around as well as moved the player) this was a fun game. Reminded me of a cross between Solar and Osmos, with more explosions.

Definitely interesting idea! As others I would prefer faster movement. Also it's bit overwhelming at the beginning because I was unsure (i couldn't remember) what certain colors and shapes do to each other. But good job! (and small bug at the end: probably if the player already won, this result shouldn't change as the side effect of simulation progressing on the background ;)

What a shame. . . this Game would of been AWSOME if it wern't for the clunky move ment tho, but great atmosphere.

Cool idea, seems like a solid puzzle game. Got some frame dropping though, not sure why.

Really innovative concept. Controls felt a bit sluggish at first, but make a lot of sense once I got the hang of them.

Very interesting ideas, takes a bit of time to grasp everything, but once you get it, you can start playing a bit more strategically :)
Nice audio too !

excellent idea, I dont know if it's my browser but when I use the arrow keys, the web page moved all around. Other than that I really liked the game, awesome job.

Ok, I loved this x3 An intresting concept, a well thought rule system, good audio effects, particles and fun to play! Maybe I would work a bit more on the movement and controls of the main "figure", but good game overall ^^

Very cool and innovative mechanics! Loved the music and atmosphere. I would have preferred easier controls on the player shape though. But anyway, excellent game! :)

The mechanic is very innovative indeed but I'm totally unable to predict what will happen on each collision. I mean If I'm yellow and I push a yellow circle on a blue triangle. Will it change color ? With the triangle make the circle dissapear ?

There's two protagonists on a collision and without any additional informations on how you choose a power instead of another, I can't understand well how to play the game.

Wow! Very cool game! Simple enough to understand, but really interesting how everything works. Took me quite a while to discover a good tactic.

Good job on the sounds too. Felt like I was in outer space! Well done!

Good idea, sound and music. But speed (or lack of it) is an issue.
