Breaker by Resonious
Here's "Breaker". Very original, I know. It's kind of like a mix between Tetris and Minecraft, only insofar as there are blocks that fall from the sky, and they are breakable. So what's the point of the game? I have no idea. Just give it a shot, punch some things for a while, and let me know if you have any ideas.
For real though, this isn't the most interesting, or "deep" game, but I had a pretty good time making it. My art skills are lackluster, but I think I did an okay job at at least keeping things looking consistent.
=== Controls ===
Move: Left/Right
Dodge: Double tap Left/Right
Jump: Up
Punch: Z
Special: X
The "special" (X) is what comes out of the chest blocks, in case you were wondering why it doesn't appear to do anything.

Good game mechanic there with the blocks. Gets around the theme pretty well!
Punching those boxes give really a lot of satisfaction! I liked it :D
I really like how the tutorial was inside the smashable boxes. That was a nice touch. It wasn't obvious you could combine the double direction with the punch to get a 'running smash', but I figured that out with a bit of button bashing.
And then it became it brought it up a notch.
Wonderful to play.
Thank you!!
I wish I could've lived long enough to open that treasure chest! WHAT WAS INSIDE?? :D
