Second Ludum Dare ☃ !

4m² is a game where you play a snowman and shoot robots.

The Goal is to defend your 4m² of territory from the robot invasion with your trusty weapon. You may use traps that reveal and slow ennemies that step on it for a short time. You can also use flares too reveal every ennemies on the map. Press E to spawn waves but don't wait too long, your score multiplier will go down.

Game may or may not have bugs.
A known issue is that it my slow down occasionnaly (too many bullets, ennemies or maybe a more obscure thing).

Controls:

- Move: WASD, ZQSD or Arrows
- Shoot & aim: Left Click & Mouse Cursor
- Place trap: Right Click
- Use Flare: Space
- Spawn wave: E

Made using Haxe/HaxeFlixel with FlashDevelop, bfxr, bosca ceol, audacity and piskel.

Have Fun.

Really like the option to spawn the new wave. (That's great for us old folks, in these sorts of games) Everything was tight, straight forward and golden for this sort of game. Thanks!

Simple graphics, but so alive and fun. Nice work on the details!

Wow, fun game that is simple and what a game should be! Like the waves and upgrades, and the overall game felt 'cool' :D

I disagree with Kitch :) The "spawn the next wave yourself" things kind of put me out of the mood. Would have prefer a classic countdown.
Fortunately, the game is good, and I get back in the mood right after the wave started ! I like the ideas to get some strategic decision to make with traps.

Well done mate !

Quick and fun. Obviously we've seen this kind of game before, but it's very well executed. The stealth mechanic of the enemies makes for a both fast paced and tense game. I think if the game is taken forwards, then making it a bit more tower-defensy by adding more traps or automated turrets could work well.

Cool game! I like the concept of planting traps so you can see the enemies.

A minor problem: you can hardly see the mouse cursor. Make it a little more visible and it will make gaming experience much more better

Cool game, i took a while to find the cursor, a brighter color would be better!

Invisible enemies were a nice difficulty touch, but a little unfair in the late game (wave > 10).

Very nice game! I like the gameplay and mechanics. I just wish the contrast between the background, the enemies and the mouse cursor were better. It's really hard to see.

Simple but quite fun! Map design lets it get hectic quick but stay manageable. Solid.

Hi there,
I like your game very much. Great Soundtrack, SFX and even an intro.
The stealth mechanics adds a nice touch, though i find it hard to detect enemies, at least on my screen.
