A Gore-y Election by iggyvolz

This game follows the 2000 election between Al Gore and George Bush. You are Al Gore, and you attempt to change history by convincing voters to vote for you.

NOTE: the embedded game requires the L枚veliness Google Chrome plugin - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mompnkcmpbopandjnddeecgeeojegohc

Instructions:
You're Al Gore (the guy with the black outline) and the voters pop up and random - they could come in with bias (more red = more likely to vote Bush, more blue = more likely to vote Gore) - you use the arrow keys to move. If you go up to someone and talk to them (just try to go through them) then they'll be more likely to vote you.
Adding more advertisements increases the number of people who show, as well as adding side effects based on whether your ads are mean or nice - nice ads will make people who were originally going to vote you feel more strong about their vote and have no effect on people who weren't going to vote you in the first place. Mean ads make everyone question their vote and draw everyone closer to neutral. More ads increase the power of meanness or niceness. You must win 270 electoral votes to win the election - you start off with actual results, minus the top 38 states.

Very nice concept! I'm not sure how I can win this, it's very hard :)
Not a fan of the stick figures though.

@Drtizzle - Stick figures are the best I could do - that's why I unchecked "art" :D

Personally, I find it easiest to set ads slightly higher than "off" and go for the purple moderates. I'll admit I didn't put a ton of playtesting into this.

connection refused! you should upload your files to a "cloud" service and link to the files there.

Crap - we had a minor server hiccup yesterday morning and the jenkins server must have stopped. It should be up and running within a couple minutes.

Sorry about that!

are there any drawbacks on going fullblown ads in every state?

Not sure how ads help you. Keeping ads at zero seemed to net me the most electoral wins. Good game idea, though!

Nice concept, but hard, that's okay though.

It was pretty easy to win once I understood what was going on, and there wasn't much variety in gameplay. It's an original concept, and it's fairly fun, but could really do with some more variety and polish.
