I really liked the art style/animations! The crabs were funny, as someone else mentioned the sound effects were quite amusing as well!

Funny and nice graphics - I like how you have many levels! It's kind of weird though that I'm a fish and I can't swim back up to the platform.

God if only you could jump higher. x__x
Good graphics, and I love the magic bacon. :)

Sound effects were great, and despite simply drawn characters the animations were superb! I could see the time spent on those.

Narwhal with a Gun?? Awesome theme! I wish there was more depth to the gameplay though. Did you think about letting 'W' jump the character? I prefer that with games that require my right hand to use the mouse. I also wasn't sure what the bacon did at first, but I soon figured it out.

It took me a while to remember the controls. But I really liked!

Great idea to have themed levels! The music and art were both really cute. The game felt like a variation of Mario Bros (the old arcade one) but with a gun twist!

Random question - do you happen to use the 2D Platform Controller by jnamobile?

@andrewkennedy Nope, I created my own character controller. And thanks, now you mention it I can see the "old arcade mario" feel :P

Very funny!! Played a lot. The on the second level, I found a place where no crab reached there, stayed 170 seconds there, i thought it was a bug or something, but I found out it was just luck as one killed me from behind hahahah good game, really!

Needs better sound.

The gun is really soft and unresponsive. Theres no punch to it.

Bullets are too small and hard to see.

Bacon spawns in places that are entirely out of reach.

Nice song and good animations on the jellyfish.

@rabbit Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the sound is not the best. I haven't got much experience with sound, but hopefully I will get better as I keep practising :) The bacon spawning is an issue I would have corrected if I had the time, but I really wanted to get this in for the compo so I just left it knowing it would probably be highlighted in at least a couple of the comments xD

Love the feel of your game! The graphics are cool, the music still rings in my ear, and I liekd the different exploration of physics on each level!
Good job!

The graphics and music were really well matched, and the music itself was quite catchy. I thought the game itself was a little on the easy side, but it was still enjoyable. The crabs were particularly well animated.

And any game with bacon in it is going to get my vote.

Liked:
- Controls. Felt good and responsive. Adding the ability to wall jump was a nice touch
- Music. Nice music. Good job
- Graphics. You picked style and stuck with it, so the game looks unified. Some of the sprite animations were extremely adorable
- The weapon. I liked how the shots were ever so slightly affected by gravity

Disliked:
- The shooting sound effect. It was far too loud
- The static difficulty of each level. It meant that if a level was easy enough it became boring quickly
- The game play. In every level I was able to find a place where I could stand still and easily shoot any dangerous enemies. (1rst level is easy enough to stand anywhere, 2nd in the bottom left corner, 3rd on the uppermost single-block cloud). Because the levels never seemed to get harder, this made me feel as though I'd beaten the game (no sense in trying to get a high score, because I know I could get an arbitrarily high score by playing in a robotic fashion)

Overall: Great start, but I think it would be much better if the levels got became more difficult with time!

Fun, nice audio and cool graphics, love the animations! Got like, 50 on each level, lots of rapid fire.

I think this game needed more peril.

Perhaps a mechanic that meant you lost if you missed more than N bad guys. A score on it's own is not motivational enough.

When time counts up, the game should be difficult to survive, but that isn't the case here. I feel like for this game, the timer should have counted down, and it was more of, how many can get, with in the time constraint.

Otherwise, you just play until you get tire of it.

It would have been great to change the level after a set time/goal was reached.

The controls also feel a bit airy. I like a lot of the little touches, like being invulnerable after spawning, and wall jumping, having a menu with instructions etc.

I think with a few tweaks the game would give one more reason to continue playing.

Such an adorable game! Really cute audio and artstyle. It just got a bit bored too fast. Wish there was more gameplay.
