The end of Eurydice by Spaghetti_Chinoises

made by Spaghetti_Chinoises for LD31 (JAM)
We had small problem with the team like one of the programmer never showed but we did a concept test.
That illustrate all our idea we are sorry about the poor content and the fact that this is not really a game but we did our best and hope to do better on the next ludum dare

The key are :
Z : move up
Q : move left
S : move down
D : move right
Space : shoot

Sorry about the azerty control i didn't think that most of you are in qwerty

An agent is sent on a foreign planet to investigate strange activities disrupting the course of dimensions. When she doesn't give out any news for a while, another agent is sent to help her but completely crashes the mission. Our agent now has to stop her planet's ennemies to completely destroy her world, learning to master dimensions and getting to understand the ends and means of those she thinks are her enemies.

A shoot them up game we tried to make as personal as possible, would it be with the scenario or the gameplay based on dimension travel !

Really nice digital painting, and I appreciate the subversion of the "Rescue the Princess" trope there. Enemies and such would probably have helped this entry out, but even just flying around was fun on its own. The slow speed of steering, and the fast background created an interesting sense of hard-to-control high-speed movement. Faster shots would probably help that too. Arrow keys as alternate input would've also been helpful, since I was on a QWERTY keyboard (I found the controls eventually, though).

Sorry to hear about your team problems; for next LD, it might help to use a tool anyone on your team could program in (there's no shame in using tools like Gamemaker), or learning a tool like Unity (it's free, easy to use, powerful, and has a lot of documentation for people with little to no prior programming experience).

Pretty cool but it seemed like more of an elaborate cutscene than a game. The controls were mixed up for me (QWERTY) and everything was in kind of slow motion. Looked really pretty tho. Not sure how it fits the one-screen theme since it scrolled.

Avoid game installers...
And I can play the game correctly:
Failed to create texture, its internal size is too high (500x9360, maximum is 8192x8192)

I haven't rated the entry because I can't stand installers. I'm fed up of having to uninstall a bunch of games after LD.
(I know this makes an ass, but like I said, I haven't rated it, so it doesn't change anything. I just suggest making an executable next LD?)
