Amazing! Sounds and styling(particles, art, fx) are awesome! If you will continue development, OpenGL + shaded sprites(check out LegendOfDungeon) would fit perfectly.

Made it to the first wave of 3 enemies. Sometimes it didn't register my attacks or it did register them but they didn't hit enemies, despite the weapon trail being over them (maybe I was a bit too close).

But it was very fun and now I have to replay with "Space" in mind, because I had no idea I can switch weapons.

Potions could heal a bit more... But I'm being whiny and that's not very gladiator-ish.

Nice 8bit sounds, decent pixel art, nice combat mechanics and AI. It was a little hard, couldn't get past 3rd warrior, but some people might like this type of difficulty

I liked the art and blood effect. It was hard to not take damage. It's better than mine though!

I died in wave 6. It's pretty tough to fight 3 enemies at the same time.

Thanks for playing! I think I will continue working on this game and fix some problems, add more content and make it easier in the first 10 waves.

Fun little game. I was having a *very* hard time staying alive until I picked up a bow, then the game got a little too easy I think. Still enjoyable though. =)

As soon as you get the bow, the game becomes a kiting simulator. Other than that, good game.

Hey that was pretty cool! I wish that the enemies had a few frames showing that they were about to attack so that I could defend in time. Right now getting hit feels a little random since there is not enough time to react. Otherwise its a pretty fun game!

Hi, the game doesn't auto-start when I dbl-click the .jar pacakge, I need to manually input "java -jar pixelGladiator.jar" in console to get it started. I don't know if it's just me, if so, you might need to do something or people might have trouble running your game.

I had a hard time figuring out what was going on, and the enemy's weapons seemed to deal a considerable amount more damage than mine did. Other than that, a neat little game, although the game state rendering needs a little work. :)

@Anaglyph Hey Thanks! =) The enemy's weapons deal the same damage as the player's weapons, you can confirm this checking the source ;)

I never found much purpose for the shield, and the A.I was easily exploitable. It shows potential, though.
