Snow, Wolves, and Explosive Arrows by HeroesGrave

[raw]
made by HeroesGrave for LD31 (COMPO)
INSTRUCTIONS:

WASD to move.
Left click and hold to charge normal arrows.
Right click and hold to charge explosive arrows.
SPACE to charge melee attack
E to dig your way through snow and/or leaves.

P to pause.

To scroll the map, drag the window around your monitor.

The entire game must be played on one screen. If you drag the window to another monitor (screen) it will crash.

Blue square is you. Grey squares are wolves. Green squares are slimes. You want the blue square to stay alive. To achieve this it is best to make the grey and green squares not alive.

The game is not finished to the point where there is an ending. Just play until you get bored or the screen fills up with snow or something.

fun game, i had to actually grab a dusty computer in my attic with linux on it to play this. the game was more fun than the adventure I had in there! Next time, should work on a windows or web release

I'm having trouble compiling for Windows at the moment.
MinGW never works well for me.

I'll upload a windows build if I can get it working.

No windows so I am unable to test it. It looks fun too. :(

really cool interpretation of the theme. i love that it panics if you try to move the window off-screen!

the sandbox (or snowbox?) gameplay was entertaining, but it made me wish there were some "real" content.

On my kubuntu 14.04
./SnowWolvesExplosions: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.20' not found (required by lib/libfreeimage.so.3)

@Night: Sounds like your gcc-libs package is out of date or something (or whatever the package is called on ubuntu).

SO EXCITED BY TITLE!!

So disappointed by platform support. :(

That said, I know you Linux folks are on the other side of that one often enough so I can't complain really. Maybe you could release a youtube video so I could at least see it in action, because I'm very curious.

I am very sorry about the platform support, but I've had a lot of trouble compiling on Windows, and I don't have a Mac so compiling for that is out of the question.
