/!\ WARNING /!\
I absolutely don't have any clue why, but it seems that a weird spatio-temporal portal eat the character in some cases that I am not able to redo. I tried something to fix it, but if you experience this bug again, all I can say to help is : try to reload the game. :(
If someone have an idea, I would read it with interest.

Hello dear players,

This was my first attempt (ever !) of making a point'n click/escape room, and I was so absorbed to make something like what I had in mind, that I forgot to set some little in-game help. I thought the character's comments would be enough, but it's seems some of you don't understand how to play, so I did a little explanation for the very simple action system I used in this game : when you are staying somewhere, if you clic around your position, or on an item you take (that appears on the left of the screen), you'll see a mini-menu appearing (to the left of the character, or to the right of the items), with two actions available, depending on two icons. See the additional "screenshot" I added here to understand how to use it.

Oh, I almost forgot : I'm french, and my english is not very good, so I apologize for the numerous mistakes/misspellings/wrong meaning sentences, here and in the game. ^_^;;

-----

If you are stucked in the game, you'll find some additional explanations in my first comment, down there. ;)

Very neat style, but entirely too difficult to know where or what I am doing. Tried to give it more than I did, but couldn't.

It might be helpful to add some instructions in your description. I really like the art, but I too cannot figure out what I'm doing / where to go. What do the random crashes indicate? Is that little green hand indicating something? I have many questions.

Nice spirit of point & click game like but need more feedback to the user with the mouse.

Couldn't really go anywhere? I managed to walk around look at stuff and try to pick things up, but there didn't seem to be anything to do. Really cool concept though, and the art style is amazing!

Thank you all for your feedback. :)

About understanding the action system, I added some explanations in description, like stephenhaney suggested, with a little explaining image.

About sound, it was a very light attempt (because done on last minute) to add something in background, rather than a long empty silent all the game long. So, it's absolutely meaningless for the scenario, and not relevant on actions you do (or not).

About the game itself : it's a very short scenario, there are not a lot of steps to finish it (about ten if you don't count the character's moves), the potential difficulty is that "stop-spots" (the places you can look around, search or take something) are not obvious, you have to clic around and see where the character stops (it goes automatically right on the closest spot from your clic). And if an item you found unlocks new spots, you'll won't see it, but when you clic around the character can access it like the other ones. In the same way, if an item grants you access to something that you was not able to take before, it will not be "said", you'll have to go there and retry search/pick/use action.

If with that explanations you still cannot finish the game, keep in mind these points :
- "stop-spots" can release more than one item
- some items have to be used only at a defined "stop-spot" to be effective
- some non accessible "stop-spots" can be unlock only if you have two defined items

Hope those explanations helps... ^^

Found this tough to get through, but I loved the idea of being trapped in a painting!

Finally I've made some progress, 5 items and broken rope, but then I was moving down from the hill to the shores and my character just disappeared and not there anymore :(
Fun game though, and 5/5 mood!

@Vaclav : someone else have told me the same bug. I was not able to have it by myself, until I tried my entry under Chrome. I don't know what is going on, but I will investigate as soon as possible. Thank you for this precious feedback. (and under FF its works fine, if its helps ;))

Took a bit of tooling around, but I figured it out and got to the end! The in-game clues were plenty for me. Wasn't sure what the angry crab awarded me, but he gave me the will to carry on, and find the exit.

it seems that the weird spatio-temporal portal is also on Firefox. I cannot rate your game yet, but I hope this will be fixed soon !

Oh crap ! -_- Excuse my language, but I tried to get that $*%§! bug, and I can't do it again. How am I supposed to debug if I can't redo the bug ? -_-

lol

Well, I changed some "layer" values to see if it's the problem source, but with or without that "fix", I can't have this bug again...

Oh, and I changed the link, it was named "LD30". ^^

@Brian Mayberry : if you go to the ship without the crab, a big seagull prevent you to take what's on board. ;) But the way I have later chosen to turn the scenario, makes to find the crab sooner than how to go to the ship, so I guess that only few players will have a seagull problem... XD

Interesting, but I don't know where I can and can't go -- the map doesn't see to show that very clearly. Good job overall!

Yay! I finally beat it! Took me.. waaaaay too long :P I loved the style, and the idea was great, but I'd prefer a logical approach to finding clues rather than a random one. But you did managed to get me hooked nonetheless so, job well done! :-)

I felt like I was pretty close; I found the balloon, crowbar, crab, rope and rock, but I couldn't figure out where to go from there.

The music was minimal, and I felt it needed a little more. I managed to get all the way to the end, but there was a lot of pointless wandering and not much sense of direction (although I guess that's common to most "room escape" games) Some of the solutions were a little abstract, but pretty clever. Profanity was overused a little too much - using it where necessary for emphasis is fine, but when it becomes every second word, something's not right. The narrative was pretty good in general, fairly humourous, although it could have been improved (although given that English isn't your first language, grammatically it's almost perfect. Just for a text driven game, I would generally expect more diversity in language used.) It was decently challenging to play through, and I enjoyed it quite a bit, although it could do with a lot more polishing.

A really good starter in order to create an interesting adventure game. Effectively I have seen a bug - my player vanishes sometimes and I don't know why. Well done ++
Et merci pour ton commentaire quant à mon propre jeu. Bonne continuation copain :)

Really nice idea and great interpretation of the theme. I really like the graphical look of the game. I wish the game play was a little less click and guess and a little more puzzle solving. Overall nice work.

Its a bit hard to understand what to do. I picked up a deflated balloon and that is as far as I could get. Some hints would be great.

I loved the idea of this game! It was very very hard for me to find the first thing. It could also be a little frustrating when trying to move around. The game was very funny and a great concept. :)
