Keep it on the screen! by BabaJaga

[raw]
made by BabaJaga for LD31 (COMPO)
In this game it's actually your task to keep it on one screen!

Your job as an cameraman is that you must fit all the important objects on the screen. Obviously finding the right position and angle in the city full of buildings can prove a challenge. So try it yourself!

Nice!

Interesting take on the theme, it was a tough one to interpret meaningfully.

Sometimes I felt the game was a bit too forgiving of bad shots where I'd only got part of one or both of the targets, or only had them in frame for a split second as I panned past.

With games in this vein where you're taking pictures of things I usually end up kind of wanting to see the shots I took afterwards to laugh at how bad they are.

Oh man, this is such a great idea! I would absolutely love to see a more fleshed out version of this!
You really hit the nail on the head with the theme!

Took me a while to understand the goal, then I thought it was funny and great! The concept of such a lazy reporter is funny. You should make a post-compo version of this.

Great use of the theme. I liked the old late 90's Virtual Reality game look.

When the topic first came up I was thinking: this is not letting people do 3d first-person games! But this game just amazed me by taking on the theme in a seemingly impossible way!

The game looks a bit old-styled and runs fluently. It kind of reminds me of old first-person shooter like Doom where you cannot tilt the camera.

In a word: great job!

Cool little game! The camera framing mechanic works really well and I enjoyed the hide and seek nature of the game. Sometimes I didn't know what I was supposed to be framing, so some more elaborate player feedback would be helpful. I had fun though and I think I made it to the end (with the car).

This is an amazing idea, just not that fond of the controls. simple but neat graphics. well done (especially for a compo!)

Very amusing, also a very good idea. Longer would be cool, but understandable. Maybe better controls/strafing. Did enjoy!

Great interpretation of the theme. The controls were a little weird, and it was a little too easy, but I think a post-compo version of this could be really nice.
