KEYBOARD WARS: SUPER SNOWMAN TUG-O-WAR EDITION by 5T4MP5

[raw]
made by 5T4MP5 for LD31 (COMPO)
Keyboard Wars is for 2 Players at a single keyboard. It is a simple tug of war game, but is controlled by random key prompts, forcing players to fight over space on the keyboard. Ideally, most of the game is fighting over the keyboard, instead of strategizing on screen.

Keyboard Wars was completed using the following:

Unity
Monodevelop
C#
Audacity
Mario Paint Composer
SFXR
ASEPRITE
GIMP
Notepad++
Giant Bomb's Endurance Run of Chrono Trigger playing in the background.

I wish there was someone here I could rope into playing this lol, it looks like a lot a fun xD Still, played it for a bit to experience the keyboard mashing, and I can see this game being a great little mini/drinking game :D definately 5/5 for fun and humor! ^_^;

Muaic and graphics are good fun too :) Well made, well done!

Sort of hard to play 2 people against each other as both needs to use a whole keyboard, if I had 2 keyboards it might have been easier :D

I could see this being used in schools for typing lessons. Maybe remove "[" since I thought it was a c and got confused.

I could see this being really fun with another person. You'd be playing tug-o-war with the keyboard while your snowmen were playing tug-o-war...lol. Fun game, nicely done :)

Neat little idea; I can see it breaking a few keyboards, though :P

I like the "cheating is encouraged" prompt. xD This was a fun little distraction, the sort of thing I could see spending way too much time playing with a few punch-drunk friends.

I didn't have anyone by my side to play, but when I saw that first player has to press '[' and the second one ']' I can see how much fun it might be :D

Pretty cool idea, graphics are... well... painty but the music is quite disturbing. Anyway, this is an incredible game for parties :D

Nice idea, music was annoying. Was more fun to play than I thought.

Hi there. Good idea, will be sharing with people so they can also destroy their keyboards... Shame no sounds.

Can't say I cared for the music.

The game itself sort of reminded me of a game my friend and I created, except not really the same. Y'know, while I was playing this game my microwave went off and I stopped for a bit to grab the Chef Boyardee (c) Beefaroni (tm) inside of it. Unfortunately, the magnetron in my microwave had broken and the brew was completely ice cold. I keep the cans in my fridge, you see; While preserving freshness, it also renders the unheated cans completely inedible. In despair about the lack of food in the house, I came back to the game in a dour mood to see that my friend had already beaten me in a few rounds, putting me at a disadvantage. Anyway, I digress. The game was pretty neato.
