InchAlpha by fil00dl

[raw]
made by fil00dl for LD31 (COMPO)
In order to respect the theme, I chose to develop an entire game playable in one inch of screen, and which is controlled using a thumb.

The sources are in Corona format (LUA).

For the moment the game is only available on Android smartphones.

Update (for the 72h jam version):
- integration of sounds from Robert Del Naja (few notes from the 'S-' track)
- an additional game mechanic in the gameplay

Fun design and graphics work well with the gameplay.
Maybe work this out a bit more and see what you can come up with.

Excellent graphics and a nice control scheme too - it's just unfortunate that there's no music.

Really nice game, probably I will play it every day, for some reason it is addicting for me.

Really awesome work on the graphics!
I'd love to see this to music (almost like a one finger DDR style game)
Then you can join our crew :)

What a shame it's not a ryhtme game ! Otherwise, i would have been awesome !

For now, the only thing i can see going wrong is that my thumb sometimes hide arrows.

But Great graphics, good enought feedbacks, Okay sound. Simple design that works. Good job !

Cute mobile game, nice visuals but as I tapped left me wanting there to be a song to play to and more difficulty to the game. After I did the tap -> swipe movement I felt the game was going to transition into a rhythm game but it did not :(

I like the minimalstic style! Played the compo version and thought it would be nice to have more mechanics. Will try the j version to See what you came up with. Played and written on a nexus 5

Fantastic eye experience. Maybe the sound isn't good as expected, but the idea is great and theme fits abolutelly fine. Good job, solid entry :D

I can appreciate the minimalist approach to the design of the player mechanics. There is a lot more room to elaborate on this idea, I think. Nice entry!

Played the compo version. Sweet looks and sounds! Though I kind of get the feeling I'm following instructions rather than playing a game. The timer is so slow for each move that there is not much challenge and the pace stays the same. I think it has a lot of potential though!

Very polished graphics. I like the simplicity. I might be wrong, but because it looks like a rhythm game, it actually lacks of rhythm variation.
