Don't wake the cat! by dannyhodge

[raw]
made by dannyhodge for LD31 (COMPO)
Stop the items in your room from waking up the cat, or it will not be happy.

The game is a simplistic tower defense game.

The Light bulb is the highest damage tower, with a long cooldown.
The Stapler is a good in-between tower, doing a fair amount of damage with a significant cool-down.
The piggy bank is a fast shooter, but doesn't do a lot of damage on hit.

Each tower costs 100 supplies. I may have completely forgotten that people wouldn't know that.

the internet just love cats :P
you should place some sort of tutorial in the screen (text only) to help with prices and cooldowns :)

Interesting concept, a simple tutorial would have helped me a lot though! Also, maybe it's just me, but that 'D' key item was so misleading at the start - I kept pressing 'D' in panic for a while! :d

Game crashed when trying to add a laser. Shame because the idea is really hilarious.

Unity Player crashed on me part way through the game. It might be worth republishing the game.

I also try to press the D key :D. Didn't read that this was a tower defense until I saw the turrets.

Seems to me like the crash has to do with which spot you place a tower... for me it was placing a lightbulb (first one) in the leftmost slot on the bottom row.

I had a lot of problems with web player crashes that made me remove features :(
I think it is just bad optimization more than anything. Thanks though :D

I'm not really a huge fan of tower defense games but I did enjoy the random art style for this :P

I also got a crash, though it was when I added a third lightbulb.

Simple and nice. A title screen would be helpful so that there's a bit of time to think, although I did notice later that there's a pause button.

Yeah, Unity player crashes a lot. Way to go on finishing it in 48, though!

Fits the theme, however a tutorial will be useful.

Crashed hard on me while playing. While it worked, I struggled with it and lost because I kept wasting resources trying to build defenses. The tower icons were a little to close to one another at times and icons overlapped, creating misclicks.

A good start which has a cat in the idea. Think you needed a bit more time to polish thing and fine tune it.
