Had to download it because I'm all in for Visual Novels in ludum dare :) Well, it was a indeed a novel but hardly visual. But it was pretty well written at least :)

The game was a bit underwhelming

Nice concept. I wish there was at least some kinda of choice to be made. The music and writing were really well done. I would have like some sound effects that went with the text like when your phone rings. Nice work.

For those of us in places with slow internet a split download would have been great :)

Was nice, a bit short but an interesting contemplation.

Good theme for your story. Next time, why not try to make a game of it with choices to make?
And you should make the width of the paragraph smaller so it's better to read.

I like the idea and atmosphere.

There's a bit too much of forcing screen anology near ending and final resolving is too easy for protagonist..

I liked the atmosphere. Interesting music (reminded me of Twin Peaks actually) and the text was rather fascinating. Also interesting and kind of "meta" take on the theme.
Not really an actual game, but seems like you achieved what you had in mind rather well.

I'm notorious for clicking through dialogue but I read all of this.

Nice dialogue and great music. It produces a nice ambiance and talks about a problem I know only too well. I wouldn't have given that easy a solution that quickly, but I assume you ran out of time.

Also: The answer sucks for heterosexual females. ;)

I'm not sure what to say about a visual novel being in a video game contest. I certainly enjoy the notion of the visual novel medium being like a game, but this lacked a certain choice aspect and the interaction between the game and the player was in part limiting, in that it was only clicking, and also, very interesting in that there was a certain mental emotional interaction between the player and the game. That being said though, there is that kind of interaction between a viewer and a tv show, or a reader and a book, so I'm not sure I would consider that to be analogous to playing a game. It would be interesting if, perhaps, there was some small interactions in the background of the game. For example, if it showed the person on the patio, and you could walk around the patio, but were still trapped there. Anyways, the story was lovely, and the music set the mood very well.

An interesting read, and it's nice to see formats other then games being submitted. But perhaps a little user involvement could of greatly increased your connection with the character.

Interesting concept, but needs to be a bit more diverse. Probably, not only music, but sounds. For example, a sound of smarthphone at the end. The texting message was unrealistic long... maybe main character just dreamed about it?
It is more like visual poem, than visual novel.

I want to be able to make choices and influence what I am reading or how the story is presented somehow.
