Though having the enemies only come from the sides meant staying in the middle and moving up\/down became the best tactic. Add some power-ups and this would be a really nice game! If shooting is going to be stuck to orthoganals, better to use keys for shooting direction rather than relying on the mouse. Also shooting in the last moved direction works for these kinds of games. I really liked that you could only shoot at 90 degree angles. Forced you to move to line up your shots.
