Fun With Lasers by ALobker

[raw]
made by ALobker for LD31 (COMPO)
Fire your lasers to make the crystals glow. Around the map are 6 example puzzles, and some free space to mess around.

Parts can be selected from the bottom bar. Use the right (or middle) mouse button to rotate.

I originally wanted to create a simple puzzle game but, you know, time constraints. So now this is basically a testing sandbox.

It's quite fun. I solved all the puzzles which wasn't too challenging but I enjoyed it anyway. The graphics are clean and it's easy to see what object is what.
Making the right mouse button the rotate button might have been a mistake as in the web player right click triggers a "switch to fullscreen" box.

After I had beaten all the puzzles I realized that I could simply have placed a laser turret near the targets since you have an unlimited supply of them. Which makes the game far less challenging.

As far as a sandbox goes this is what I made: http://zippy.gfycat.com/GiantCleanAsp.webm

Overall: Pretty good idea for a game, the puzzles were fun but could be "abused" due to the sandbox element. So it could have been a bit more polished.

You included a level editor? That in 48hrs is amazing in it's own right. Also game needs to be smaller for us smaller screens.

The Windows build only let me chose 4:3 aspect ratio resolutions but the web build ran great.
Relaxing game, I do love me some mirror puzzles!
Yeah, actual goals would have been really great.

I can't get the pieces to rotate with a right click in Firefox on my Mac... keeps bringing up a menu.

@jmborden: If you have trouble with the right mouse button, you can use the middle mouse button too. I'm not sure if you have one though, since you're on a Mac.

Hi there. Looked interesting, but almost none of the pieces can be picked up and moved about... none of the 'drawing' big buttons in lower left work. This was on Chrome/W8.1 Not rated yet.

Cool puzzle game! It was difficult from a first-time player experience to tell what everything was at a glance, had to keep referencing the Help section. And a level editor is awesome in such a short amt of time.

I thought that it was a fun puzzle game, but you should disable the right click menu in the unity build options
