The Crown Of The Rectangles by PTSnoop
A simultaneous-turn-based stealth game.
Your task is to steal the Crown from the keep of the castle, then escape to the dark green grass. Click on the ground to choose a destination, click the "End Turn" button to move. Avoid the guards - the more they see you, the faster they get and the further their visual range gets. Good luck!
This game was made in 24 hours (is that a half-ludum or a double-ludum?) at the Manchester Game Jam meetup. It was made on an implausibly small netbook, so the Screen that the Entire Game is on is only 1024x600. My midi keyboard has mysteriously stopped working, so no audio for this game.
WebGL version coming soon-ish.
EDIT: Or not. Apparently love-webplayer doesn't support love.imagedata - so there won't be a WebGL version this time. Ah well.
EDIT2: Mac version added. To run this game on Linux, install Love2D, download the Source (.love) version, then run “love CrownOfTheRectangles.love”.

You should fix your drawing order -> when the guy is too close to the wall, then he's currently drawn under it even though he's infront of it. You could start by a simple "is the player in this area" check and if so, draw him before drawing the wall - otherwise, draw the wall first.
I like how the guards move less when I move less. Gives me more control over the game, if I take my time.
I actually also liked the graphics - it was the reason why I clicked on the image!
