Hex by datahaven

[raw]
made by datahaven for LD30 (COMPO)
The aim of Hex is for you to form a line of stones of your colour connecting opposite sides of the board.

The red player must connect the top and bottom edges before blue manages to connect the left and right edges.

Players take turns to place a stone of their colour in any unoccupied cell.

It is not possible for the game to end in a draw.

Awesome! Shame the AI isn't more competent.

I agree with madk, the AI isn't really hard. Not sure, if you invented the game rules, but they allow for some nice strategies :)

Unfortunately, I couldn't run it. I got "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)." This is on Windows 7 64-bit.

Really like the idea, I just had no one to play against, and the AI seems to just play random. There is probably a winning strategy for the first player to always win, but I did not fully think it through.
It's nice, how the sound when you make a move nearly seamlessly integrates with the background music.
