Heroneous by NoNameNoSocksAndGuests

[raw]
made by NoNameNoSocksAndGuests for LD36 (JAM)
Local multiplayer - Gamepad required

Heroneous, a game in which you basically have to suck up to your boss and get rid of your colleagues in order to gain fame and glory.

Becoming Ekin, Varoufakis, Zorba or Nikos, you will have to defeat your friends and build the greatest machine ever seen to impress you master, Hero of Alexandria, and become his official heir.

Instructions :
Be the first to bring Hero five of the parts he asks for - and beware, for your master is quite whimsical and will change his mind quite fast.

Use the left stick to control your character
Use LB or RB to dash

Just walk on an item to collect it
Stun your -former- friends by dashing through them or throwing items on them

And most important, have fun !

Wasn't able to test this multiplayer thing. But the rest of the game is fantastic. The art is realy gorgeous.

Hi, nice game and congratulations ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.

Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description.

I really love the art style! The characters are cute.

That sound Hero makes when changing his mind is pretty funny :D Made me smile every time.

@gonutz Sorry but we had to make a choice (not much time left for the export thing) but we'll definitely try to upload other versions (mac...)

@NoNameNoSocksAndGuests I understand that, I am going to wait for a Linux build, as I have no Mac, so please write me a comment back when you do so I can check out your game, it looks interesting :)

Ok I've managed to download the game! But I open it and it seems to be gamepad only, which sadly I don't have :( Is there a keyboard / mouse version? Screenshot looks good btw

@gonutz ok the linux and os/X builds are here ! Unfortunately, they remain untested, so don't hesitate to tell us if anything goes wrong.

This is a nice concept, unfortunately I only have one working game pad, keyboard support would have been nice.

The graphics and music are good.

Sometimes the items go out of the level and are unreachable after that.
