The Journey by Mekuri
The Journey is a small horror themed game about going home, riding your bike, all while trying not to crash and/or go insane.
As with most Ludum Dare games, there's a lot of features and ideas that was cut. I did end up with some gameplay, and it is possible to beat the game- Although I put more effort into the "failing" part of the game.
As for the Theme- I planned to make the theme more obvious than a fairly vague reference to it, in text, but.. it is what it is.
I hope you enjoy it.
###- NOTICE -###
The UI is not optimized for 4:3 resolutions, and some GUI elements may go off screen. I recommend you play in any of the 16:9 resolutions- And use sound!
Also - Play with sound! - As most of the Audio is from Freesound.org and I haven't spent too much time editing the sounds, you may want to -NOT- have your volume at full.
As usually with my games, OS/X and Linux versions have not been tested.

Nice work on the atmosphere and sounds, it fits the horror theme and it made me jump a few times (though I'm an easy target).
It's a good idea to give info on the opening screen.
Do the enemies do something on touch? because I just went straight all the way and looked away when I saw them coming. I got home without troubles.. and barely used any stamina.
The environment is really nice too, did you do all the modeling and animations? if you did, then you did a really good job!
Overall a very nice game :)
Thanks for your input. Except for the trees, then yes I did the modelling and animations myself. The humanoid models, I made the base with MakeHuman, and then "scaled" them down to fit into a game.
Mood is good. Graphics are nice.
Simple and easy to play with!
Felt creepy enough and I never returned home ;)
Man... you made it very good! I never played any horror games during ludum dare, so I wanted to try out this one. So apparently I never got home too. The graphics and sound are good enough to call this an indie horror game :D
