Fairy Hunter by Lolninjacatz

You are a fairy hunter in a fantasy land. However, the fairies live in different planes, so you have to switch between dimensions to catch all of them. You have sixty seconds to catch as many as you can!
You move with the arrow keys/WASD, and you switch dimensions by using the Spacebar.
The screenshot is a gif, so you can open that up and check out the gameplay there if you can't download the jar.
There was going to be a web version of the game, but I couldn't find a reliable way to host my war folder (Dropbox hosting websites is for pro members) so the only option is a JAR file for now! Sorry about that - I know I like playing the web demos mostly :( .

This was my second Ludum Dare! I felt like I got a more complete product than my last one and I learned lots. They've been a great way to get me working on things, and I'm definitely going to do it again.
My game, again, can handle animations, but this time I had no clue how to draw a decent sprite, let alone an entire animation! I'm going to try and brush up on my drawing skills before the next round, and maybe pick up a drawing tablet. I managed to get in some simple sound effects, but no background music - I'll make sure I learn some basics for that next time too.
My goal was to make fairies that move and have more collision, but I ran out of time and had to prioritize other things. It doesn't look as impressive as my boat simulator from the previous Ludum Dare as a result, but I feel like my underlying architecture has improved from last time.
I plan to add motion and animation, as well as improve on the art and style of the game. I also want to get a start screen and high score screens because I've never done those either >_<. I've also been toying with the thought of adding enemies, powerups, and giving the player the ability to shoot things, but I'll see how that plays out.

Hope you enjoy it!

It would be nice to have some differens between planes - different types of fairies, for example, or something else. Even if the gameplay on all planes will be the same, different decorations would add much to the mood of game.

I made $4900! I think you did well for your 2nd time, and you definitely have an idea of what you need to add to this, so just keep up the good work!
