I feel a bit dumb I didn't realize you could swap the trampoline.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>Two smaller things I noticed: 1) Losing all your worms to spikes would advance you to the next level. 2) I couldn't start a new game again after being sent to the menu (either through finishing the game or quitting after the first level)\r<br\/>Aside from those, the worm physics is a bit wonky."},{"author_name":"popcorn897","author_uid":"35837","time":"Aug 30, 2014 @ 3:12am","epoch":1409368020,"text":"Really fun game! Well,\r\nworlds, I should say. \r\n\r\nTheir only goal in life is to get from the blue door to\r\nthe green one, problem is they aren't in the same world!\r\n\r\nTo their great relief there exist yellow doors in the\r\nblue-door world, which lead them to the orange doors of\r\nthe green-door world. How excitingly practical!\r\n\r\nAlong spikes and narrow hallways it also helps that an\r\nomnipotent being is able to change the world to lead them\r\nthrough their troubles. This is probably why they think\r\ngetting to the doors is so important; someone is clearly\r\nguiding them there.\r\n\r\nAny change in one world is, however, exactly reflected in\r\nthe other world. Will their omnipotent being be able to\r\nfind a path for them to follow?\r\n\r\n-------------------------Installation----------------------\r\n\r\nGet the archive; it contains all the executables built at\r\nthis time, as well as the source for the engince and those\r\ndependancies I have the right to redistribute.\r\n\r\nRequirements for linux build: portaudio, glfw3 & glew.\r\nThe engine runs on OpenGL 3.2 Core, so software renderers\r\nin linux won't work (hence the lack of testing of my linux\r\nbuild; VM driver support sucks).\r\n\r\n----------------------Supported binaries-------------------\r\n\r\nAt the moment, there is only a 32-bit windows executable,\r\nhowever linux (x86, x64 and armhf7) are planned. I might\r\neven find the time to get it emscriptened up for the web if\r\nthat works for my engine.\r\n\r\n--------------------------Controls-------------------------\r\n\r\nLeft mouse button (MB1) swaps tiles in the upper and lower\r\nworld.\r\nRight mouse button (MB2) inserts trampoline tiles, if any\r\nare available for the given level, at the location pointed\r\nto. These tiles allow the wormings to climb to the nearest\r\nledge in the direction of travel.\r\n\r\n------------------------Custom levels----------------------\r\n\r\nSo you noticed there aren't too many levels yet; these serve\r\nmostly as inspiration for what is possible. You can create\r\nyour own levels by following the examples set in the included\r\nones. res\/tiles.lst provides an overview of the supported\r\ntiles, and res\/levels contain the included levels. They are\r\ntext files and commented to help you understand them.\r\n\r\nTo run a custom level, run the game from the command line\r\nwith the path to the level file as an argument:\r\n .\/ld30 path\/to\/mylvl.scn\r\nor simply drag the level onto the binary (if your OS\/window\r\nmanager supports drag-and-drop).\r\nThen select the \"custom level\"-option in the menu.\r\n\r\nIf you need any help, ask away in the comments below!\r\n\r\n-------------------------Known  Bugs-----------------------\r\n\r\nIf you find any new ones, let me know in the comments!\r\n\r\n---Version 14-08-27-21-50---\r\n >Linux (x64) build works, but has timing issues;\r\n  audio may be very choppy (just mute it I guess),\r\n  gameplay _should_ be fine.\r\n---Version 14-08-27-20-15---\r\n >Linux (x64) build included but untested\r\n >Fixed the \"Win regardless of death\"-bug.\r\n >Start button works as resume once a game is stared; have\r\n  not relabeled it, as it would require new art and I'm iffy\r\n  on adding that after the deadline even when it's fixing\r\n  weird behavior. Fixed the bug where game wouldn't reset\r\n  to first level upon completion of last level.\r\n---Version 14-08-26-23-45---\r\n >Linux (x64) build is plain not working.\r\n >Everyone dieing causes win.\r\n >Game doesn't reset to first level after win.\r\n---Version 14-08-26-17-15---\r\n >No known bugs.\r\n---Version Deadline---\r\n >Memory leak upon level change\/reload.\r\n >Possible memory corruption upon 8th scene creation.  \r\n\r\n\r\n-------------------------Building it-----------------------\r\n\r\nBuilding the game requires GLFW 3, glew and portaudio for\r\nthe engine. These in turn lead to a bigger library list than\r\nI like to admit. Have a look at the makefile in the top dir\r\nfor the full list, or just try \"make all\" and see what it\r\ncomplains about.\r\n\r\nIf you get it running let me know; my test systems are throwing tantrums about GL extensions...\r\n\r\n---------------------------Thanks-------------------------\r\nThe wonderful creators of GLFW, portaudio, cgMusic and Sean\r\nBarret; you people are awesome!","title":"Wormings"}
