You can select a \"world\", and show all the other worlds that that world's author commented on (i.e., the connected worlds). You can also visit that world's page (the entry page on ludumdare.com). So you continue to click, and expand the network of worlds.\r\n\r\nUnfortunately, most of my time was taken up getting the PHP scripts working that scrape all the entries and comments from the LD website and serve up worlds and linked comments to the app. Those scripts work beautifully, and scrape the entries and comments at regular intervals through a cron job. But I had almost no time left at the end to make the actual app in Unity that uses it.\r\n\r\nSo here's the incomplete result. It shows a handful of randomly selected worlds (the more comments a world has given, the more likely it is to be selected). You can fly around with the mouse and WASD keys (and Q and E for up\/down). Clicking a world visits its page. Esc exits.\r\n\r\nIt doesn't work as a Unity webplayer app because of the security sandbox restrictions (it's pulling screenshot thumbnails from ludumdare.com), so you'll need to download and run the standalone build.\r\n\r\nI can't test the OS\/X or Linux builds, so I don't know if they work.","title":"Ludum Dare Metaverse"}
