Mirror - a tiny visual short story by pixelspirit

[raw]
made by pixelspirit for LD30 (JAM)
WARNING: some loud sounds and limited violence kinda

A tiny game. I didn't mean to undershoot and finish this early, but I am also not gonna work much more on this idea either. I'll aim a bit bigger next time.

It was a lot of firsts...first time I've done a game with any kind of story, first time I've drawn facial expressions, first time I've drawn settings, first time I've used ren'py, etc. So though it may be a tiny game, it is a big step for me ^^ it was fun!

Stuff I Used:

Blender (painted over models for perspective cheats)
Mypaint
Gimp
Audacity
Ren'Py

Nice story! Cool little production. I don't know what you're talking about when you say you undershot - this is a story that you could expand greatly both forwards and backwards (ie you could explore what your world is like before the smash, then the changes afterwards will have more impact).

Lots of potential, lots to work with. Keep at it :D

Wow... wow, I really liked this. Go review some more games so you get more coverage! The writing is excellent, with an atmosphere of real tension. Yes, it was a tiny game with only one decision in it, but I was engrossed in the scene, the horror, all of it. The lack of music really worked. It was sparse, centralized, minimalistic. I would like it if the bad end had been fleshed out a little bit more--really scare the pants off us!--but all the rest of it was wonderful. Thank you for the game!

Hey, a fellow RenPy user !
Not bad for your first time, the idea was interesting, I just feel adding some music would make the story feels more alive ^^.
