Charles and the Ancient Ruins
This is our first sequel! Our highly imaginative bunny comes back for another round in 'Ancient Ruins.'
After doing some studying with his friend Sammy the Otter, Charles sits alone to read while waiting for him to return.
As he falls asleep, he begins to dream of hunting for ancient treasure...
BASIC CONTROLS: (and their default keys)
KEYBOARD (Compatible with gamepads as well)
UP - Interact with object, screen, sign, etc. (Up)
DOWN - Dodge, Pick up something and put it in your pocket (Down)
LEFT / RIGHT - Walk, highlight tool/weapon/item (Left/Right)
SPRINT - You move faster but burn up stamina (Shift)
JUMP - Hop hop hop! (Space)
LEFTHAND - Use a tool/weapon, Pick up something and instantly equip it to Left Hand. (C)
RIGHTHAND - Use a tool/weapon Pick up something and instantly equip it to Right Hand. (V)
ENTER - Item Menu: You can access your tools/weapons/items here.
- Select, Drop, Equip items. You can assign 2 tools/weapon (One per hand)
ESCAPE - Map, Game Menu: You can customize controls, volume, window size here.
TIPS:
EXPLORE - There are hidden items aound in the game for you to discover and pick up.
CHECK POINTS- Check points heal you a little bit whenever you discover a new one.
SAVE BOMBS - You may want them for things other than blowing up creatures!
THERE ARE 2 DUNGEONS - Once you have bombs, you can enter the second dungeon (The 1st is blasted open for you already!)
This is a collaboration between Jimun Batty (who did all the coding, sounds, character work and awesome scripting stuffs), and Chip Caramel (who did all the world art, tiles, and music).
This was a tough and thoroughly fun challenge and we hope you enjoy it!

The highlight for me though was the character design. Very 2000s gaming mascots/cartoon design.
I did however cause it to crash during streaming it. We played it over on twitch which you can see here (https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/88809110) and here (https://www.twitch.tv/cantgetourname/v/88815811). Sorry for the two parts, had to take an emergency break.~
A few quick notes to help everyone out:
You can break a few small objects with your sword (sand mounds, torches, fire alarms), and if you have the Charm of Fabrication these objects will drop small items.
The shop at the beginning of the game sells bombs after you've collected the Tome of Bombs.
The game is pre-configured for an X-Input controller, so an XBox 360 controller should work out of the box, even under Linux.
Regarding the crash mentioned during the previous poster's stream, that error is due to a debug object we forgot to remove. You can safely press escape if you see that error and the game will continue normally.
