Deep Dungeon by Gameko

[raw]
made by Gameko for LD29 (COMPO)
I wanted to make a game where you go deeper and deeper into the caves. I didn't manage to implement all the features I wanted, becasue I ran out of time. I planned to add some kind of leveling sytem, or shop where you could upgrade your character, and also wanted to make more enemy types. It turned out a little buggy. But I hope you will enjoy it.

Arrows to move

Nice graphics, but really too hard. Furthermore when you resize the window e.g. to fullscreen, then the camera doesn't follow anymore. Apart from that it was good ;)

Its fun but it has some minor bugs lol

1.If you scale the game and start it you start a nothing in the middle of the room

2.if you swing your sword(nice combat btw) to fast. The sword will apear on top of the hero

3.The game random closes

overall 26/40 points

Clicked for that art, and liked it :) Nice effort for 48 hours but it is rather hard. I tried 4-5 times to get out of the first room and even pulling enemies 1 at a time I ran out of health. Good start though. Would encourage you to continue building and adding to it. Nice base here.

Control's a bit hard, but I dodged all the monsters and made it to the end. LOL

The sprite work was really good, nice work there. The combat mechanics became a little bit frustrating when fighting groups of enemies, I think because you could get hit multiple times at once and all of a sudden the character's life would drop a lot, so I had to pick off enemies one by one and that slowed things down a lot. Maybe adding a short period of invulnerability after you get hit would help? Eventually I ran through each level though, and dodging bats was pretty fun :)

This game has some nice graphics and pretty solid gameplay.

It did have one issue that made it less fun though: I found my self getting hit quite a lot due to slightly odd sword collisions and also occasionally enemies getting bounced forward into me by my own sword. That was a bit of a pain. After a while I decided just to run through the levels without fighting and it was actually a lot easier.

With that combat issued out, this would be a pretty fun game. Great work on what you managed to accomplish!

Nice! I just made a beeline for the level exits, and that was a lot faster. The graphics and feel are very nice.

Quite nice, but hard a lot ;) I don't like that character is stopped when is attacking ;) Anyway, good graphics!

Liked the game and visuals. But you can easily speedrun through the game without fighting any creature.
