Dystopian Scratchcard Thriller by MikeyPB

[raw]
made by MikeyPB for LD29 (JAM)
Made using Stencyl in less than 6 hours. I was very busy over this weekend but wanted to use LD as an opportunity to try out the new image manipulation features in Stencyl that I haven't had the chance to learn yet!

It's a scratch card simulator with a story. Read and scratch.

Submitted as a Jam entry as I got help for the story - all text was written by Joe Clark (apart from one line from the final story scene as I was meant to put some stats in but ran out of time).

Hah! I love it! Very relaxing, and I like the dark story! Fits well with the theme.

The scratch effect was great. I noticed that you can scratch in a circle at the bottom right of the boxes and it still counts win or loss without seeing the symbols. It didn't stop the game from being fun, just letting you know :)

Very simple, but oddly captivating. The story is a nice touch!
