Fall of Babel by walkupandaway

[raw]
made by walkupandaway for LD36 (JAM)
Mankind was never meant to reach the heavens.

Take control of characters inside the crumbling Tower of Babel! Navigate each character to the exit and to safety.

Disclaimer: For best visual results, I recommend downloading the game. Also, this version of the game is pretty bare-bones. I'll most likely be expanding on it in the future, as I have a lot of ideas that didn't make it in this time around.

Thank you so much if you take the time to play, and thank you even more for leaving your thoughts in a comment!

It's a cool mechanic that could easily be expanded on. Sad to only see two levels but I understand that's usually the hardest part to make in a game like this.

Really great art and music, gave the game great atmosphere. Only having the two levels included cut the experience short rather abruptly. I can see promise here but would have liked to see more.

Nice music. The game is also very simple, unfortunately it only contain 2 level. Great job though... Cheers... :D

I loved the music, simple but it gives the game a unique atmosphere. I didn't always get why I lost sometimes but I'd love to see more levels one day. Good job :)

I liked that story line and the music with some melancholic tones. Nice idea to give some details on the characters and the language they were given, maybe there is something to dig here with maybe some kind of different controls depending the language each character speeak, or how tey would/may interact with each other.
I see a lot of potential in that game !

The concept is great and the production quality is top notch. The problem is, at the moment the puzzles are trivial. Some more mechanics and trickier levels should mend that.

I'm not sure what kind of ideas you got brewing, but here are a few more:
- Injured/trapped people who need to be helped by someone who speaks their language
- Doors and keys
- Tools to break down doors and obstacles
- People who hate each other and will have a fight if they get too close
- People in love who won't move too far from one another
- Animals who move erratically and attack/block people if too close by

Keep at it, load of potential here.
