The control mechanism is fascinating. It felt a little like a first-person perspective of a top-down arcade game, where the player has limited movement and viewing directions.
The movement required some getting used to, but it did turn the game from an otherwise trivial FPS into a non-trivial challenge.
There was a horrible bug in the engine which forced us to completely disable lights/shading in the 1.0 version. This is now fixed. There are no gameplay modifications.
@kibertoad: There was far more planned, but due to external circumstances we just barely managed to create a playable game :(
