Tremors by Gregory

[raw]
made by Gregory for LD29 (COMPO)
COMPATIBLE WEB BROWSERS:
- Chrome
- Firefox
- Opera

CONTROLS:
You control a snake, lurking below the soil. Click and drag a trajectory above the surface to jump and kill civilians.

NOTE:
This game is INCOMPLETE...but remains a work-in-progress! It was nice practice though. My original idea fell apart at midnight last night, so I scrapped it and started on this instead. I programmed this "game" using TypeScript and Visual Studio 2013.

THOUGHTS:
Overall, I'm a bit disappointed that I had to scrap my original idea. I wanted to make a game about the corrupt prison-industrial system in America (Beneath the Surface), and how it keeps people in poverty and crime, but the idea was too complex and just didn't come through. So, I scrapped the idea and made this in about 8 hours to fit the theme.

TODO:
- Better music and sounds
- Levels, where there are civilians with jetpacks, helicopters, and airplanes at different altitudes
- Ranking system per level
- Difficulties
- More blood and fullscreen effects! Muahaha!
- Snake body, instead of just a boring red circle
- Port to mobile

Neat idea. The controls are a little wonky, but keep at it.

Quite nice, I like the concept, and the colors!

A cool idea and would have been awesome to see it with more content. The visuals and music throw me into a slaughtering type trance. Too bad you couldn't take on the prison-industrial complex, it would be very cool to see some games on that issue, but that's a tough cookie to crack in 48 hours.

Nicely executed idea! There's a few control issues but not bad!

This entry contains some interesting ideas. The intro looks really cool. Unfortunately I didn't get to hear any music in chrome linux.
