Cave Diving by Hinds

[raw]
made by Hinds for LD29 (JAM)
This is my entry for my first ever Ludum Dare! \o/ \o/
This game is about someone who decided to jump down a bottomless pit (or, the cave) and must dodge everything they might smack themselves into on the way! (You are allowed to touch coins, however) It also gets darker the deeper you go (spooky!). Was created in a little bit of a rush after my first idea failed miserably. I decided to enter the jam as I *may* have broken one of the compo rules :P

Controls:

Arrow keys - Move
Space - Start the game

What I used to make this:

Programming Language: Java
IDE: Eclipse
Art: GIMP
Sound & Music: FL Studio, Audacity, Bfxr

P.S: I'm sorry if the music get's annoying, I made it in about 5 minutes. If you'd prefer it gone then you have to mute the volume, as I never decided to add an option to toggle it.

At first I was like: "okay, cool little falling game." Then I noticed the walls coming in, and I was like ". . .dat's pretty cool. . ." :)

I liked that it was fast paced, but when I saw a coin it was hard to get there in time.

I like the idea of the walls moving in but I think it makes the level of difficulty rise pretty steeply!
