made by Ret44 for LD29 (JAM)
This suppose to be Compo game, but I realised that original idea was too big, and unplayable at current state. So I tried to recover anything I could, and simplify almost all mechanics of core idea, all in the last day of Jam. It's still buggy and unbalanced, and I consider this more like prototype, than finished game. Still, I hope you'll enjoy this prototype. Don't forget post your score in the comments!

Big thanks to @Spierek for title idea.

You are space war veteran, who lost his both hands during Siege of Zolxaron XVIII. After that you decided
to find your luck in the vast desert of planet Joltz. This planet is famous of its riches, and enourmous caves.
You modified your brand new hovering hands - with your rusty Bolt Dealmaker and mining drill. Use your drill on walls to collect minerals. You have limited air supply, that will last for 2 minutes, so be quick.
Watch out for toxic gas clouds, it will hurt you, and corrupt some of your air supply. Beware of blind cave monsters.
They will notice you if you use drill or gun nearby them. You can exit level anytime you want - just come back
to the start, and press E. Every next level is bit harder - enemies will have more HP, and there will be more toxic
clouds. Try to collect as many minerals as possible.

Left-click worked to shoot the gun, but drilling didn't work :*(

Interesting game: the addictive part of the experience works well. But it will be better if the ressources you collected could be used to buy upgrades or companions to farm more.

You also need to push the player to fight against monsters, because it's to easy to drill all over the level without fighting a monster.

The music is very cool: when it changes, you shoud add more feedback with the air gauge. It will help the player to make the link between those 2 elements.

@petey123567, @OniiRam Yeah, I've had small problem with Unity colliders. Sometimes you need to swing mouse around a bit to get it working.

@Nizar89 That was original idea. Unfortunately I had to ditch many mechanics, because I was time was running out. :(

Oddly, once I entered the next level, the framerate dropped to the point where it was immediately unplayable.

Not a bad game, once I figured out you need to stand away from the wall to drill.

It would be good to increase the time it takes to drill a rock, otherwise you can switch the drill on and calve out a path while running.

I like the idea of drilling your way through rock, but the controls and gameplay can be improved. Keep working on this as I think it can become really fun!

As my layout is AZERTY I'm going to have to complain that you can't rebind the Q/E keys from weapon changing. Otherwise runs great on my Arch Linux with no configuration required (praise be to Unity :P )

My Linux is playing up though so I tried on a Windows machine too both the build and the webplayer. On both it was very slow and I could move through walls. So essentially I wasn't able to play this :'(

Music is great and I love this kind of roguelike type game :)

Got it working :) Yeah my laptop has stupid power-saving settings that keeping coming on all the time. Drill is very fickle, doesn't seem to work all the time, I can't quite figure out when/why. Love the music and the general "ambiance" of the game, I feel a couple more hours would have made a huge different but that's the Ludum Dare for you. Even so good job guys, despite the drill I managed the grab myself a bunch of look, kill a bunch of monster dudes and escape :P
