I can see the HUD and behind it is a black screen. Pressing keys shows changes in the meters (so the game logic is fine). Your objective is to destroy the enemy submarines before they destroy you.\r\n\r\nThe actual gameplay is pretty unfinished, I ended up putting most time into creating the physics and simulation again.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nRequirements\r\n============\r\n\r\nMake sure you have Java installed.\r\n\r\n\r\nStarting\r\n========\r\n\r\nExtract the zip file, then:\r\n\r\nOn Linux\r\n--------\r\n\r\nRun the start.sh script, for example by opening the terminal in the directory you unpacked the game in and typing\r\n.\/start.sh\r\nand enter.\r\n\r\n\r\nOn Windows\r\n----------\r\n\r\nDouble-click on start.bat\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nUsage\r\n=====\r\n\r\nPress space to fire a torpedoe.\r\nThere is a reload time of a few seconds.\r\n\r\nPress Enter to switch views.\r\n\r\nThe following keys are also visible in the UI, so no need to memorize them:\r\n\r\nSurface diesel engines \/ Underwater electric motor:\r\nIncrease speed with W, decrease it with S.\r\n\r\nRudder:\r\nTurn left with A, right with D.\r\n\r\nDive fin:\r\nDive down with F, up with R.\r\n\r\nBallast tank:\r\nPump water into the tank with Down Array (makes submarine heavier) , and pump water out with Up Arrow (makes submarine lighter).\r\n\r\nRecharge batteries with diesel engines (works only at surface):\r\nTurn on with C, off with X.\r\n(Not needed unless you want to play a _really_ long time).\r\n\r\nThe red hand on each gauge indicates the player selected level, while the white hand indicates the actual level.\r\n\r\n\r\nIssues\r\n======\r\n\r\nThere is no death screen - if you get destroyed, the camera and UI just stays floating at the point where you died.\r\n\r\nThere is no win condition either.\r\n\r\nThere is no sound.\r\n\r\nTorpedoes tend to explode after having traveled too short a distance.\r\n\r\nTorpedo hit detection is somewhat buggy.\r\n\r\nThe enemy is pretty stupid (read, random).","title":"Crushing Depth"}
