Four Minute Miner


Created during the Ludum Dare #29 Game Jam! You have four minutes to mine as many gems as possible. Buy drills to speed up mining but don't spend too much or you won't have any money left over. A game of strategy and luck!

Collisions are a little jumpy, making jumping difficult and buying Drills an imprecise Art.

Technicalities aside, the Music and the little shovels face and animation just made me chuckle, a genuine pleasure to behold. I didn't know you could fill a Garden tool with so much personality!

A Cute little run through, and a pleasurable 4 minutes; going forward perhaps more purchases? Or more layers? Hope to see more!

(Seriously, that Shovel is like, my favourite Character at the moment)

Pretty cool, a little jerky with the controls but once you get past that its a pretty fun game. Sent an army of drills down to conquer earth. Not sure how that went. Nice game!

Good idea, very amusing shovel character. There are problems with the gem and ladder collisions.

It took me way to long to realise that the shovel had a face, I shouldn't be playing games this late/early. Is it possible to climb back up the ladders I couldn't do so.

Had some problems manouvering the character when underground. Couldnt go back up the ladder. Maybe some in-game tutorial/help texts would help. I liked the funny shovel. Grats on the game!

That was a fun four minutes! Liked the idea, and the shovel was a fun character.

Controls are a bit dodgy but all in all, it works. Maybe you could add enemies and more gear to buy, make it into a vertical tower defence.
