I take keyboard input as keycodes thru the javascript onkeyup event. So my immediate guess is that I didn't put in the right codes to cover all keyboards. Thanks for coming back to respond! I like that the text in the locations changes depending what form you're in even if it's not the one that solves the puzzle.
