I ditched the light part halfway during day 1 as it would take to much time and started getting more setbacks as I encountered bugs and difficulties creating the user interface the way I wanted it to be.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>So next time... I'll make a simple, short game ;) perhaps next mini-LD! Well, can't really say much about the game. Nice background music! Basically I've completely underestimated the amount of work that was required for the simple infinite dungeon crawler located on Mars I planned to make. But more on that later this week in my dreaded post-mortem.\r\n\r\nSo here's what you get:\r\n- no intro\r\n- no storyboard screens explaining wth is going on\r\n- no sounds\r\n- no animations\r\n- no save\/load screens\r\n- no way to attack or end turn\r\n- the ability to check the player and mobs' name and statistics\r\n- move the character for one turn\r\n- a smooth background tune I generated on abundant-music.com\r\n\r\nThe game was mainly tested on a Google Nexus 4, but should run fine on most modern devices.\r\n\r\nHope you enjoy what I've made so far. The concept itself is quite interesting but might take at least a week to fully develop. There's quite a bit of code and background story you don't see yet as there's no way to display it. When I do finish the product I'll place an extra link on this page.\r\n\r\nThe concept was an infinite dungeon based on character development. The items would also gain experience and level up when used (this feature was finished). During dark\/night time the player would battle monsters for xp, during light\/daytime the player would strengthen his\/her items and team. Every 10th level would feature a mini-boss which would be available when you cleared the previous 9 levels in dark. Switching from light to dark would happen after a number of battles or after visiting the inn in town (this feature was finished). In town you could free-roam, the battle-levels would be turn-based. All characters have random names (working, but the monsters get the same name after generation - it cost about 1.5 hours to track this bug down and it's still unresolved :( ) and the player has the ability to rename the ones in his team (unfinished). The levels would be stitched together with some (now and then random) narrative.\r\n\r\nInstallation note: you may need to enable unknown sources to install the apk on your device. This can be done in the settings -> security -> unknown sources. Feel free to enable the verify apps option as well if it's disabled. A screenshot with the options can be found here: http:\/\/screenshots.en.sftcdn.net\/blog\/en\/2013\/04\/Allow-Unknown-Sources.png","title":"Mars After Dark"}
