TypeShift by ExSpecter

-----Explanation-----
So I did my first LudumDare and unfortunatly I had to do a lot of other things so there is no music and a few missing graphics. All harder attacks have the same graphics as the lower attacks. I'm sorry for that.

Also the Game is in German. I wanted to make an english version to, but there was no time.

I uploaded it because of the Idea and I really want to know want the people or rather you think about it.

I hope there will not be to much flame about the alpha-like game.

It is a JavaScript Game. So you can play it on every plattform.
And sorry that you have to play it on fullscreen. I made it a little bit too big.

-----About the Game-----
The Game is a combination of Rock Sizzor Paper and a fast typing challenge. So you can choose between Fire, Ice and Air. Fire beats Ice, Ice beats Air and Air beats Fire (i know it only make a little bit sense). You can choose between a week (less chars) or a strong Attack (more chars). The Attack is stronger if you hit more chars right.

-----Game mechanics-----
1) choose Element
2) choose Attack
3) wait until the Character shifted shape
4) type the chars
5) watch the wondefull animation

-----Theme: shapeshift-----
The shapeshifting in this Game is, that the Player shifts between the elements

So now habe fun with the game and
Thank you for playing my game and for feedback:)

I can't win any fight, seems that I'm too bad. Hahaha
Would be cool if you could add a visual cue to help to know what will do your opponent and add some strategy.

Cool graphics but it's a pity that you did not have enough time to add some sounds.

The pixel art is cool and I think I've learned some German words.

Really enjoyed playing. Excellent submission for the first time, especially working on your own.

Nice idea with the typing. Could be a nice casual game.
It was Game Over because my opponent had -54 HP and I had 100 HP. :D

Cool game with great potential. I see many ways you can extend it: hero / spell leveling, spell cards. Could be nice pvp game.

I think buttons / icons would be better than choosing spells from the cmd.

Could use some more cues to guide the player and be a little easier at the start, but it's a solid game concept.

Love the graphics and animation, sound would have been great. Definitely worth the little bit of effort it would take to make a post-compo English version. I thought it was a bit of a shame that the typing is completely random letters, rather than words. It makes the difficulty curve hard to control as some combinations are harder than others. Glad I didn't have to switch to a German keymap though :) Sehr gut gemacht!
