expeditio by MonsieurS
You manage a team of archaeologists and uncover bones and treasures while keeping an eye on the budget. You can hire and use either expensive scientists or cheap workers who may break the stuff they are supposed to dig up.
----
There is not too much in-game explanation, so here are some instructions if you get stuck:
0) You start with a budget of $10,000 and are supposed to make some money by going on expeditions and selling the things you dig up there. Balancing is bogus though, so don't expect anything. :-)
1) First select an expedition. Some expeditions have a higher risk, meaning that they yield fewer but more valuable items.
2) Now hire some scientists or workers for your expedition using the arrows below the icons. Scientists cost $100 per day, workers cost between $25 and $75 depending upon the expedition. Workers are cheaper but have a certain chance of breaking the things they dig up or at least damaging them. The expedition is a bit hectic with more than five people.
3) Start the expedition.
4) Select the scientist / worker (selected = white background) and click on a grass tile on the map to dig there. The unit will be occupied for one day. If something was found while digging the item is added to your stash on the left. Different items have different values and qualities (between 1 and 3 stars). You sell those if you end an expedition.
5) Repeat. :)

- No time for sound / music and no balancing whatsoever. ;)

A good little click and manage game. The digging up of artifacts confused me a little, I was wondering if there was any particular strategy as to where to dig? Never the less is charming!

Nice concept, but quickly repetitive.

Great concept =) You should improve it and it could be a great game! (add some music, some strategy for example with an AI adversary, ..)

This seems like an ambitious game, and you pulled it off pretty nicely. Great art, love the idea.

The concept is brilliant, very original. Only thing missing from this game was music but other than that I enjoyed it very much. Never the less good work on the game.

nice concept but there is no difficulty or use in digging near places you already digged i feel- but this could be a great game!

I originally envisioned connected excavation sites (digging up larger structures bit by bit), but at the moment the objects are randomly placed. Thanks for the great feedback, that means a lot to me as this is my first game I made public.

A nice concept which I'd like to see developed further. I found a small bug in that if you click a square and you don't currently have one of the selected people available it prevents you from clicking on it again once you do. I also would have liked to see some indication of when an artefact had been found, as I spent a while thinking I hadn't found anything!

Good concept, nice flavor, lots of potential! The digging might need some limitations/feedback to make my choices make more impact. For example, maximum nr of artifacts I can take back (quality vs quantity), or a maximum nr of days I may excavate (time vs money). Showing on the map where things are found would help the flavour & gameplay too. (high value spot? look close by with scientists; use workers to find new spots, etc)

Really like the easy way to play it, although it seems more hard to play at the beggining

I must be a bit rubbish at this game because I always lose money :P It's a nice idea and I like the style

This is an interesting concept, but like others have said, there isn't a ton of actual gameplay here. I'd definitely play a polished version of this though.
