Popcorns are an essential part of a movie experience.

This theater tries out a new prototype of delivering popcorns directly to the seats during the movie. Your job is to use a popcorn cannon to launch the popcorns to clients. Our new innovation is to cook the popcorns mid-air with a powerful microwave coil. Be sure to feed popcorns to all of the insatiable carnivorous plants.

Controls:
D - Rotate clockwise
S - Rotate counter-clockwise
Space - Shoot with PopPow Cannon 4000
Mouse left - Hold to microwave popcorns


Notes:
- Opted out of Audio because the music is just generated with Autotracker and there's no separate rating for sounds only. The sound effects are my recordings, though.
- The Mac OS X version is untested.
- 2016-04-23 edit: I compressed the Windows and Linux executables for smaller download size. The files are the same, but if you want the original uploads, just replace ".zip" with ".exe" on the Windows version and remove ".tar.gz" on the Linux version.

A pretty fun little game, well done ! I just think you could simplify controls by doing the rotation of the popcorn canon according to mouse position, it would be smoother imo.

pokipsy: Thanks for playing and good point! Only switching that could be confusing, though, because the mouse button would shoot with a different thing. But now that I think, it would be possible to make the game mouse-only simply by using right and left mouse buttons. For example, microwave still on left mouse button and the cannon on right button. I don't know if it makes easier to misclick, though. Might need testing.

Looks great, fun too.

The only problem i have is that they dont seem to pop, even if i frantically hit the mouse button.

Still, a small interesting little game.

g12345: Oh, I should have mentioned that you have to hold the mouse button to cook popcorns. However, don't hold for too long, you don't want to burn them.

This is a really charming game. There's something satisfying about popping that popcorn too. I agree with the other comments about the controls though - could definitely use some simplification.

Clever idea and actually really fun game mechanic! I only had my track pad so it was pretty tough, but I enjoyed it

36290 :) Nice gameplay. First I tried to shoot up into the air and hope that randomness will split all the popcorn among the plants but this was inefficient. So I ended up just shooting directly into the plants. It was fun and quite challenging at the same time. Maybe you could increase difficulty slightly over the time :). Good job.

Billiogadar: The difficulty actually does increase over time but maybe too slightly. :) It's just linear with quite a low coefficient. I didn't really have time to balance it. Or, to be honest, I'm not really sure what would be a reasonable way to increase difficulty. It shouldn't be too quick but probably not too slow either (like now). Thanks for playing, though!
