Do not miss! by ambi

[raw]
made by ambi for LD28 (COMPO)
A) Get the crossbow.
B) Shoot it at the werewolf.
C) Don't miss!

Werewolf will chase you if you are close enough but always prefer the civilians which are easier targets.

Tell me if you can't run the zip. Just click on the donotmiss.exe once it's unarchived and the game should start (On Windows platform)

You can run on Linux or Mac just by installing LOVE 0.8.0 and running the source package, which is just .love file you can directly run. Unfortunately I don't have either Linux or Mac available so I can't make autorun packages.

Fun little game, I liked how the second level was a bit puzzle-y, although it took me a little bit to realize the villagers weren't actually enemies.

Nice, I liked making the wolf eat the villagers.

The fleeing villagers look a little like minor demons at first glance.

Could've used a bit more instruction. I was pretty confused at the beginning. Also putting the weapon behind a randomly moving enemy on the very first level is a bit unfair, no? lol

Otherwise I had some fun with it.

I'm glad I stuck with it through the first level. That first level is a doozy, though. It's really hard to get the crossbow without getting eaten.

My score was 504. I really like the game concept, it was a little hard to get at first, but once I understood the game it was pretty interesting trying to go fast and save villagers but without missing. I like the level design in the second level. It would have been nice to see some music and animation, but the gameplay worked fine without it.

Nice! Totally playable. Sound effects were fun. Could have used more levels or some other mechanic to add more play time. There was a nice, unusual strategy of first avoiding the wolf, letting it eat the civilians, and then hunting it once you get the bow.

The last stage is hard. .. took me like 10+ tries. Keyboard control would be good though

I really liked this game! When I replayed levels I liked how differently things could play out. For a simple concept with easy controls this is a lot of fun. I definitely would have played through a lot more levels if they existed. The shortness is my only complaint.

I enjoyed the screaming of the civilians. Er, I mean the sound made me laugh! Wait... Anyway, a lot of them died.

Oh those poor villagers, they didn't realize I would be using them as a distraction! Haha, nicely done!

Awesome game. I liked trying to hit tricky shots from across the map and the funny noises those poor civilians made when the werewolf got close. It left me wanting more levels great job. :)

The concept is pretty cool, the graphics are alright. although the hit box of the player is a bit odd. Good job.

The web version didn't work for me at all, but I got the Windows build running fine. This is actually a pretty neat idea, manipulating the wolf and the civilians in order to get to the crossbow. I enjoyed interacting with the AI, rudimentary as it may have been. Nice mechanic!

What was wrong with the web version? Did you try reloading the page? If I know how, I will fix it.

Awesome idea. It's really fun. Wish there was more levels.

I also enjoyed seeing the civilians get eaten. I think their scream was annoying me. >:)
