One Slice Too Many by William Bundy

[raw]
made by William Bundy for LD27 (COMPO)
A conversation held in the last ten seconds of humanity, interrupted by flashbacks to a simpler time.

The game itself should be self-explanatory.

There is more than one ending and more than one route. There are secrets which I have tried to make easier to discover than randomly pressing keys.

About the story: don't ask.

*Careful: Loud noises.*

Between 8-12 hours were spent writing, coding, and making sound effects for the game, in total.

Quite puzzling. The way the keys works was innovative.

Ha ha, I'm not sure whether I understand the game that much. I didn't pay attention to the much while I'm playing. But the music while you're reaching the end of 10 sec is pure creepy in some ways, I'm afraid for something might pop out, haha. Nice music, exciting gameplay!

I can't claim to know what I just did, or what happened. Unique approach, at least. I tried to not eat any cake, ended up accidentally eating a piece at the end because you have to hold a key to move to the next second, but that same key press can be registered later. Maybe require a key up between segments?
