Splash 'n Shift by linseyray

[raw]
made by linseyray for LD35 (JAM)
Did some graphical experimentation this weekend--approach the game as a toy! I personally love to swim around and enjoy the movement, popping bubbles as I go.

itch.io page: https://linseyray.itch.io/splash-n-shift

Controls:
WASD/ZQSD (move)
C (call)
R (release)
Y (shift your body)
T (shift twin body)
SPACE (make noise)

Made in Unity3D.

(Web player only for now, will upload a Windows build soon)

I have no clue about what's happening, but I like it!

The presentation of this is very nice, the particle effects are colorful and have a nice weight to them, and the music is light yet pleasant in the background, very nice experience!

Great work, deserves non pixel graphics but the movement is a delight and the sound effect are great - I particularly enjoy the pop.

very nice and chilled music, cool graphical effects, but I think the edges of the shapes are a bit hard (maybe thats the style you are going for, I dont know), also nice sondeffect when collecting stuff, but sadly no goal... Anyways nice work!

A little poetic journey in the world of nothing but colors and sounds. Thank you for that ! :)

Really cool little toy. When it comes to LD, I really like seeing little things that are well made rather than large things hastily thrown together. This really played to my enjoyment of that.

I played so long the music stopped :D The sfx and music are done well, it makes it feel like they are squishy and liquid (although it's a little in contrast to pixel style, but it still looks very nice). The camera is nice too with it seemingly using your velocity and looking a little ahead, much better than fixed in center or follow cam for this speedy movement.

Very pretty and weird mechanic. Definitely very experimental, if you could use this and make something with an actual aim it would be amazing.
Very good work with limited colours, particles, and a nice audio, fitting with the game well.

No idea what I'm supposed to do. Feels more like a tech demo than a game?

That said, it looks and feels great. If there was more of a purpose to it I could see myself playing it for a very long time!
