Ghost Voice by Charlie

made by Charlie for LD27 (COMPO)
You're a paranormal investigator interested in Electronic Voice Phenomen (EVP).
Using the Frequency Analysis 3000 your mission is to find high frequencies.
To do this, listen carefully and check out the audio visualiser (maybe show frequencies beyond human hearing range!).
Then you can record 10 seconds that you want so the machine starts searching high frequencies in those seconds recorded.

Controls:
Arrow Left/Arrow Right: Short jump (10 seconds)
Space: Start recording (only 10 seconds!)
Z: Restart audio
X: Resume / Pause audio

Result codes:
200: Waiting for data
302: Found
404: Not found

Thats a crazy good idea! I wish it had a little bit more gameplay to it.

I like the general concept of this game a lot!

However, I believe using full tracks from Freesound constitutes breaking the 48-hour rules... :|

Ooh.. Strange idea, is it really a game ? Or a experiment ? ;)

Yeah, this really should have been submitted to the jam if it was going to break the no pre-made assets rule

Not much of a game here but an interesting concept that could be explored further.

Like the idea. Have no idea how the players would actually guess where a frequency they could not hear is.

I didn't manage to get a 302 even when I recorded every 10-second segment.
