Poisoned Wizards by HauntedSoul
[Dramatic Interpretation]
Surrounded by beautiful mountains that look like they were purposefully painted by the likes of Monet, there are two small villages only distinguishable by their colors. Each of them is lead by a powerful wizard that aren't especially fond of each other.
Red Wizard: "(Yawn) Hmm.. what is this blue package here next to my pillow? Could it be a present from my beloved red wench? Strange color for the package though.. hmm.. but tasty cookies!"
At the same time on the opposite side of the crater..
Blue Wizard: "(Yawn) Hmm.. what is this red package here next to my pillow? Could it be a present from my beloved blue wench? Strange color for the package though.. hmm.. but tasty cookies!"
(End of scene 1)
(Cut to the valley between the villages)
RW: "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WOULD BREAK OUR GENEROUS PEACE TREATY SO CLOSE TO CHRISTMAS AND BY POISONING ME WITH COOKIES!!"
BW: "WHAT?! THAT'S WHAT I CAME OUT HERE TO YELL YOU MAGIC BASTARD!"
Both in chorus: "YOU'LL FEEL THE WRATH OF MY SUMMONS!!"
(End of scene 2)
RW: "Here it comes.." - Runs off to the nearest toilet.
BW: "Curse you Red bastard! Oh crap.. can't hold it anymore" - Runs off to the nearest toilet too.
Blue Guard 1: "Guess we should attack now?"
Blue Guard 2: "Yes, straight forward like we trained all these years!"
Red Troops: "Forward my Red fellows! Away from the stench!"
And so starts another senseless battle in this once peaceful crater.
[End of Dramatic Interpretation]
Too bad I didn't have time to build this into the game but I'll leave it here as an intro for my game :)
Hope you enjoy playing this game as much as I enjoyed making it!
This is my first time participating in a LD, and it was a great experience that I plan on making a regular habit from now on.
You're welcome to rate it and leave any comments!
And thanks for playing :)

I was hoping to get another unit type in but half way into the 48h I could see that I would either make a unit not significantly different from the one in there now or not be able to make the complete gameplay loop, so I decided to push that to the "if time allows" area of the plan.
Thanks for the feedback, and you're welcome to leave suggestions on what you think would be fun to add for when I expand on it!
Also there's a perfect score to be taken here, anyone feeling lucky? If you feel proud of the score you get take a pic, link it here and I'll add it, and credit you, on the entry :)
And thanks for the videos Jupi, cool thing you're doing!

The scoring is really simple, units are worth 100 points and building 300, and the combat is actually the units hitting the closest enemy target (inside their attack range) for a slightly randomized attack damage according to a set attack speed.
I agree that something as simple as a striking sound and a small animation would have made the combat way more engaging and easy to understand, it's probably what I regret most not having the time to include!
