Micro Management Simulator 2013 by daOyster

Second - Adjective: subordinate or inferior in position, rank, or importance.

You are the manager of 10 people second in rank to you on the corporate ladder. It is up to you to keep them from slacking on the job. Mash the "Work button" to gain synergy, but don't let it drain completely. If you see a worker slacking and not staring at his screen, click his room to put him back on task. If he slacks off for too long, you get a strike, 5 strikes and you lose.

Pretty fast, pretty cute, like the idea and it would work better on a touch screen :)

Plain and simple, who could ask for more?
Also, I have to agree with @tork, this would be awesome in Touch devices.
P.S.: Loved those glasses.

Very good, but some ambient sound would make your game a lot more appealing.
Currently the background silence is killing it, even some noise would do, just make it subtle.

Clickedy click, fun times. The work button could be a bit better so my old grandma eyes might hit it better. Get a bit too hard a bit too fast. Solid work nonetheless :)

I love the art, it takes me a while to get the idea, even if i read the text at the beginning. Liked it, but never get a very high score :$

I liked your game. I liked the art, I like the clicking. It's fast paced, and I liked it... Will probably come back for more.

I highly recommend this simple game, to anyone who wants to practice mouse targeting (for FPS) and for those who play HoN, Dota, LoL and similar games where constant clicking is required.

9/10, would play again.

Nice graphics and use of the theme! Some music would make it even better!

Fantastic to see an original take on the theme for once. Good to see not everyone went for a 10 second timer.

The clicking madness started to hurt after awhile, but I'm sure managing in real life hurts a lot more, which means this was a good simulator. The clicking gets painful after awhile, but the game was solid enough to get me to play it a bunch and try to better my score. The mood was pretty good, and I felt like a jerk for constantly working my workers, which was nice. I like the graphics as well: simple, but not too simple. The buildings in the back could use a bit more detail to fit in with the rest of the graphics, possibly. Also, nice use of the previous Ludum Dare's secret theme on the building on the left.

I was about to comment that it would be better if the difficulty ramped up gradually with an increasing number of employees (the core mechanic is fun).

Then it dawned on me how genious this game's take on the theme is. daOyster, my hat off to you!

Nice art for such a frantic game. A very original take on the theme I think

I enjoyed that. It did take me a little bit to figure out what I was doing. The art is excellent and I love the aesthetic. Dingy offices, poor lighting, the occasional false hope of success, it's all there.

it's also an interesting challenge considering how simple it is. Also, why does my cursor move while I'm typing?

Well done!

60 seconds, 209. I didn't realise you lost synergy for false clicks the first few times I played - after that I had to watch my accuracy a lot more. It got easier if you zoomed the screen in, and used a drawing tablet for pointing ;). Fun idea, and slick execution.

I'm not quick enough to make it for very long. I also had a bit of trouble recognizing when workers were slacking off (since the offices looked so dark, and I had to squint). That indecision cost me all the synergy.

Its all about synergy. These lazy employees are damn hard to keep in shape!

Well done. I'm not entirely sure what to say, it probably would have been nice if the difficulty scaled up slowly, so you start with just a few seconds and then more and more come around.

Wow. You've taken frustration, purified it, bottled it, and given it to me and told me to like it. And, strangely, I do! Is this stockholm syndrome?

@netguy204 Thanks for the compliment I think? Mind if I use the comment as a quote on the games web page?

I like very much how you bended the theme's usual interpretation!
Very pleasing pixel art, liked it.
Game doesn't have much depth to it though. But fun concept. :)
