Reach by BerdiNerdi
**INSTRUCTIONS**
Control the character using WASD, and use the arrow keys to shoot in the direction you want (up, down, left, right).
The torch you are carrying will go out in 10 seconds unless you manage to replenish it at a fire place. Simply walk into the fire place to replenish.
You have to kill all the enemies within a room before the gates open to the next rooms.
*You cannot win the game yet! You can simply clear the level!*

I had great fun creating this game :) I was also very proud of the 2D multi-source light system I managed to make.
Unfortuantely I would have liked to create more content for the gameplay experience. As of now the rooms are the same, and there's one type of enemy. I think it demonstrates the core game experience pretty well though.
//Tools used:
-Unity3D (Free Version)
-2D Toolkit (Bought on asset store)
**Note about source code -- I removed the 2D Toolkit scripts from the project, since it is commercial software and I was not sure if that would count as redestribution. Everything else is there though, so the entirety of the game code is available to you. If you want to run the project, you will have to include 2D Toolkit yourself.**

There should be 'reach_Data'
folder next to the executable
Although the reach_Data folder is there!
@carlsommer: Thank you for the feedback! It is very much appreciated! About the controls, yeah it's a fun one that one. Some people prefer shooting in the direction you are simply facing, others do not. The reason I do not like that one is because I feel restricted in movement, if I want to be able to move about while keeping firing in one direction. I guess that is one of the "each to his own" things :) Though I could definitely attempt to implement control modes in a settings menu should I take this further.
@randomelginguy: I agree with you, the moving part was unfortunately mostly due to inexperience with the Unity engine. I didn't have enough time to correct it.
@ananasblau: That would be some good ideas actually... :D
And thank you all for playing!
If you need music for a later compo game, you should check out generators like http://abundant-music.com! Most generators make music extremly fast, and I am super content with the Abundant Music quality - its how I made the music for my game. Sound effects wouldn't have hurt either - feedback is super important.
@Rasmus: haha yeah indeed, didn't have much time for balancing :) Hopefully next time! ;) Thank you for playing!
@zillix: Thank you :) I'm glad you liked the effects!
@TobiasW: First of all, thank you so much for taking time to play my game :) Much appreciated. Thank you for the tip of the music generator, I will definitely be checking it out. This was my first entry so I was not familiar with these sorts of automatic content generators. Thank you!
@shard123: Thank you so much :) Thanks for playing my entry!
And again, thank you to everyone who used some of their time to play my game! It means a lot :)
