I'm not quite sure why but I think it's because you targeted the 1.7 Java runtime. The default mac Java distribution is 1.6. And I only lost 7 of me. The sheer amount of inertia made it feel like everything was ice but that added to the challenge and made it more fun for me. It's generally good to show more of the direction the player is heading in, but it should be gentle and smooth and not such abrupt.
