Go Shape Yourself by Elemental Zeal Games Studios
Our entry for the 35th Ludum Dare Game Jam! This is our 13th entry in a row.
Go Shape Yourself is a twin stick/WASD and mouse top down shooter focusing on Shape Shifting between shapes of different colours. Whichever colour you are is safe to touch, while the others are lethal. Survive as long as you can and try to get a high score!
*Note*
Mac and Linux builds have not been tested. WebGL build on Itch.io and Embedded here has one or two visual oddities but is fine to rate for those that can't download the Windows version.
Keyboard Controls:
- WASD to Move
- Mouse to Aim and Shoot
- 1/2/3 (4 when unlocked) to Switch Shapes
- Q/E to Cycle Between Shapes
- Escape to Pause
Xbox 360 Controller Controls:
- Left Stick to Move
- RIght Stick to Aim and Shoot
- A/X/B (Y when unlocked) to Switch Shapes
- RB/LB to Cycle Between Shapes
- Start to Pause

(psst make it happen. :D)
Good job :D
Maybe less bullets but faster bullets would be better?
Anyway, good job.
Probably with some polishing effects would be really cool, especially multiplayer.
You should have displayed the shape options somewhere, at least for beginners.
Note: for Unity WebGL u need to set the viewport on build less than LudumDare limits (like 800x500 for example)
Cheers

Its hard how you can kill yourself by hitting your own bullets after shifting.
The audio is not high-tech but it fits the art style.
Good job!
Simple and fun.
