This is a great concept! The guard were a bit too easy but still, great entry!

Nice one! This a fun take on the theme, and I like the visual style. Being able to pick up new things to shift into was a nice mechanic, though it could have been developed a bit more.

Pretty nice game and the shapeshifting as the stealth mechanic is clever. Would be interesting to see it expanded into a full game as this teaser has left me wanting more.

Running the linux version produced the following log (ommited file paths in the beginning). I only have one screen, not two, btw:

[...]
displaymanager : xrandr version warning. 1.4
client has 2 screens
displaymanager screen (0)(VGA-0): 1280 x 1024
Using libudev for joystick management

Importing game controller configs
Aborted

The windows version did run in wine, didn't show any text though.

I really liked it. It has a certain charm to it.

I liked the fact that you could 'learn' knew things to shift into, and that it helped you if you got caught a fair bit.

Great game!

Too short as such a nice game :(

That's a smart mechanic !
Would imagine how it would expand to more decors

although I see a challenge in the possible confusion
so maybe moving into other environments than houses
(where it's perfectly suitable for most cases to be either a chair or a sink)
and if you decided to stick with houses then then the decor style can be included (you can't put an aluminium chair in a Victorian classic study room)
but then again that might cause confusion (except for interior designers maybe )

Good game overall, it was short though .

Very cute game. I liked it a lot, but I just wish it wasn't so short! Accumulating objects with the scanner would have been really cool to be expanded on. The time crunch gets to everyone though :) I enjoyed this a lot, even still.

Good job! The shift button didn't seem to work for me, but I could turn into the default objects. I was also able to complete the game :)

Hi Chaserbrown - thanks for playing the game!

As for your trouble with shift, I'd bet that you are not holding the shift button long enough. The sound effects for holding shift are a bit misleading, which has been confusing people. You need to keep holding it until a +1 appears.

Cool idea. I think there needs to be some additional feedback when scanning the items. Nice job, would've liked more!

I like the idea! It is funny because somebody had exactly the same at my game jam but we didn't do it. The music is nice!
It would be really nice to have keyboard shortcuts for transformations.

haha PROP HUNT FEEEELZ!!! I have always fancied stealth type of games... I love it xD especially the great details on everything..

It could have been more awesome if the font used were also pixel-themed for consistency...

Level design and AI sophistication is dope!! NICEONE :D

Hi, nice game ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #35.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description
