10 Seconds Zombie Apocalypse! by Magvaag

[raw]
made by Magvaag for LD27 (COMPO)
Hello, This is a game I created for the Ludum Dare 27 called '10 Seconds Zombie Apocalypse'!

Each wave is 10 seconds long. You will need to kill to survive.
After the main 10 seconds, the zombies will freeze, and you can
attack them for another 10 seconds!

Guns:
Pistol
Rifle
Shotgun (Shoots three bullets!)

Controls:

WASD - Move (moves towards mouse)
Mouse Down - Shoot (hold down)
1 - Throw Grenade (you only got three grenades)

You can use the shop, between every wave, to buy new guns!

Note: I only had 48 hours to create this game. There will be a loot
of stuff not working! (like upgrades and sell, change controls and buy new grenades!)

But the main concept is working!

Survive as long as you possibly can!

I will do a tutorial for creating this game out on my Youtube channel!

Hope you had as much fun as much as I had creating it!

Hi, I was unable to play the game. I load the game, I see the main menu screen, but clicking anywhere / pressing any buttons does nothing. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit

The game starts, the menu screen appears but I can't start the game. Can't fairly vote that way.

Hi ! I just tried you game. Very nice job ! Here's my feedback : I think it would be fun (and easier) to be able to move little bit quicker.
Overall, nice game, I hope you will continue to develop it :)

I can see what you were aiming for in terms of gameplay, but there are certain things that hold it down. The lack of audio is noticeable and the movement of the character takes some getting used to. There's a small gap in time when holding forward/backward until you start moving. It's little things but they really do make a lot of difference. Overall though good effort and the idea is a good one.

Issue with wasd control - it obeys the repeat delay.
